Die französische Kommunikationsregulierungsbehörde ARCEP hat die Nutzung des von der ITU auf der Weltradiokonferenz WRC-15 vereinbarten 60-m-Amateurfunkbands genehmigt.

Die formelle Ankündigung der französischen Regulierungsbehörde ARCEP bezüglich des Beschlusses Nr. 2019-1412 wurde im Amtsblatt der Republik Frankreich (JORF) Nr. 0037 vom 13. Februar 2020 veröffentlicht. D.h., die Frequenzen von 5351,5 bis 5366,5 kHz können in Frankreich auf sekundärer Basis von Funkstationen des Amateurdienstes mit einer maximalen Strahlungsleistung von 15 W EIRP genutzt werden.
